General terms and conditions for order package for exhibitors
The exhibitor is solely and fully responsible for ensuring the forms are filled in correctly and completely and submitted in time. The MesseHalle Hamburg-
Schnelsen GmbH shall, in this respect, not be liable in any way; it is not obliged to check the details provided by the client. These General Terms and Conditions
for Order Package for exhibitors refer, in particular, to the ordering of stand equipment and what occurs on the exhibition stand in the period between
starting construction to ending disassembly.
All prices quoted in the order form booklet, unless expressly agreed and noted otherwise, are net prices, the respective statutory VAT is to be added.
The hiring out of objects to the exhibitor is only for the agreed purpose (usage with the stand for the duration of the fair) and agreed time period (duration
of the fair including construction and disassembly periods). The exhibitor shall be responsible for damage to and loss of hired goods even if caused by third
parties. The liability of the exhibitor begins on delivery at the stand and ends upon return of the item or when such is picked up by the party hiring out the
item, even if the party hiring the object has previously vacated the stand. Non-returned hired goods will be charged at the replacement price. Likewise, the
repair costs shall be charged for damaged goods, provided that a replacement is not necessary.
The hire costs shall be charged for the duration of the event. Cancellation of the order for the stand equipment by the hirer is only permissible up to 14 days
before the start of the event. Later cancellations shall be charged the full hire fees.
Any parts temporarily removed from hired refrigerators (wire shelves, ice trays, glass shelves, etc.) should be replaced at the end of the event. After the
event has closed the fridge is to be emptied. When picking up the refrigerator all drinks and goods still in the refrigerator will be removed and placed in the
stand at the risk of the hirer. The party hiring out the refrigerator shall accept no liability for their loss. Moreover, there shall be no liability for damage to the
goods should the fridge stop working or similar. On the last day of the fair light and power to the fair stands will be switched off one hour after official opening
times. The exhibitor is fully liable for damage caused by himself or hird parties, e.g., due to electrical work conducted on the stand. The MesseHalle
Hamburg-Schnelsen GmbH shall accept no liability at all for electrical appliances owned by the exhibitor.
Any complaints should be passed on to the MesseHalle Hamburg-Schnelsen GmbH immediately after the stand has been occupied, at the latest before the
start of the fair, so that the MesseHalle Hamburg-Schnelsen GmbH can remedy any shortcomings. Complaints made later cannot be dealt with and shall
result in no claims against the MesseHalle Hamburg-Schnelsen GmbH.
No holes may be drilled or nailed into the hall floor, ceiling and walls, as well as the stand system walls owned by the fair. Likewise, wallpapering and painting
all ceilings, floors and walls is not permitted. Sticking of any type of floor covering on the hall floor is only permitted using two-sided fabric tape. After
the fair has closed the floor coverings and sticky tape are to be removed completely. The exhibitor is obliged to inform his fair staff or the companies commissioned
by him (fair constructors, interior decorators, etc.) of this. The exhibitor is always liable for any damage caused. The stand telephones ordered
shall be installed by the hall staff during the construction period and removed as quickly as possible after the fair has closed. The exhibitor is liable for all
damage of any kind even if the telephone was set up before he occupied the stand or picked up after he has left. All other connections are to be ordered
directly from the Telekom (German telecom).
If the exhibitor’s fittings, equipment or fair goods are subject to particular dangers or risks (damage from the influence of temperature, humidity, shaking,
drops in pressure, electricity current fluctuations and the like) the exhibitor must take the necessary precautionary measures himself.
Welding, cutting and soldering work is forbidden by the fire authorities.
If the exhibitor orders objects to hire that have to be fitted by the MesseHalle Hamburg-Schnelsen GmbH onto or into their own stands, the exhibitor is
obliged to provide a scaled drawing on the form provided for this purpose, as it can only be ensured that these are installed as required with this sketch.
Changes to already submitted orders and reorders always need to be submitted in writing. An additional amount will be charged of 50% of the quoted hire
price for changes that are submitted less than 5 days before the fair begins.
The MesseHalle Hamburg-Schnelsen GmbH commissions an outside company to clean all aisles and stands every day. The cleaning of the stand includes
the floor areas, the furnishings with the exception of exhibits, emptying the waste paper baskets and ash trays. Should the stand itself (and cabins) be lockable,
either a key must be handed to
the cleaning company or the exhibitor must have the stand cleaned himself at his own costs.
The fairs and exhibitions organized by the MesseHalle Hamburg-Schnelsen GmbH are guarded. This starts on the last construction day and ends with the
end of the fair. Further security measures can be ordered only from the MesseHalle Hamburg-Schnelsen GmbH by the exhibitor and at his costs. The presence
of a watchman is no insurance for the goods to be guarded. At night when the hall is locked (one hour after close of fair until one hour before start) no
exhibitor or exhibitor staff may be present at the stand and in the halls.
Place of performance is Hamburg, also for all financial commitments. Only German law is applicable. Insofar as the exhibitor is a merchant then the sole
place of jurisdiction is agreed to be Hamburg.
The validity of the General Terms and Conditions for Exhibitions of the MesseHalle Hamburg-Schnelsen GmbH shall not be effected by these terms and
conditions for order package.
