Evang. Gemeindebrief (Nr.77, Sept. - Nov. 2009)

SUNSHINE PROJEKT
The Project Sunshine recently
celebrated it’s yearly birthday
party . This is done every year
to coincide with Priti and Kukus’
son’s birthday as the children at
the project are not aware of their
individual birth dates.
The party started in the morning
and continued till the late evening.
The food was available for the
children throughout the day . All
sorts of goodies were relished by
these adorable children.
Besides the food and icecream
etc..they enjoyed a number of
other forms of entertainment.
There was arrangement for
puppet show and magic show.
A clown walked around drawing
peals of laughter from the children
now and then.
There was music so the children
broke into an impromptu dance
which continued for long as
slowly all the kids joined in.
There were even songs sung
by some of the children making
everyone quiet for awhile to
listen to them. Performances
were also given on the musical
instruments.
The highlight of the day came
when the children realised that
there was a tattoo man. After
couple of them got the tattoo done,
that was enough for the others to
join in. All sorts of requests started
to come in. Suddenly the normaly
shy children were demanding to
have spiderman, buttefly and all
sorts of designs on their hands.
Even the teachers joined in .
As the evening drew close, it was
time for them to go home. Each
got a box of food to take home
to share with their parents. Every
child also got gifts to take home
for themselves.
All in all a very exciting and a day
full of fun for the kids as well as
for all the others around them.
Project Sunshine is grateful to all
the wonderful people who came
to join the children on this day.
