In the morning we visit the historical city of Baden-Baden with the New<br />
Castle, the Stiftskirche, a late gothic building with a famous stone carved<br />
crucifix and the tomb of Ludwig Wilhelm of Baden, the so called<br />
‘Türkenlouis’. We visit the Roman Bath Buildings and reach the<br />
valley of the Oos.<br />
In the afternoon we walk along the Lichtentaler Alee. Starting at the<br />
Trinkhalle we pass the Kurhaus, the theatre, the Kunsthalle (Art<br />
Museum) and the Museum Frie<strong>der</strong> Burda and finally reach the Gönner-<br />
Anlage, a rose garden with more than 400 types of roses. From 16:00 -<br />
17:30 opportunity to visit the Museums or to go to the hot springs.<br />
Optional Richard Wagner's opera "Tristan und Isolde" in an<br />
awesome performance at the Festpielhaus. 16:00 - 22:30. Return to<br />
Ettlingen with the bus of the Festspielhaus at 22:30.<br />

Visit of the former Cistercian abbey of Maulbronn; as one of the best<br />
preserved medieval monastery monuments north the Alps the monastery<br />
has been registered as one of the UNESCO’ World Cultural<br />
Heritage sites. For lunch possibility to try the "Maultasche” (Swabian<br />
ravioli),<br />

Saturday, September 29, 8:30 - 16:00 Black Forest Tour:<br />
Lautenbach – Oberkirch - Allerheiligen<br />
Visit of the Pilgrimage church Maria Krönung in Lautenbach, a gothic<br />
church with famous altarpieces of the late middle Ages; lunch in<br />
Oberkirch; continuation of the journey to the ruins of the<br />
Premonstratensian monastery Allerheiligen. Finally we go for a walk<br />
along the Allerheiligen-waterfalls.<br />
