There are different working groups that<br />
focus on the different individual market segments.<br />
The "Deutsche Yachten" working<br />
group, for instance, sees itself as the marketing<br />
platform for the super-yacht sector, the<br />
"Yachtelektrik" working group constitutes<br />
the basis for exchanging technical procedures<br />
and relevant standards, the <strong>Verband</strong> der<br />
Charterunternehmer is responsible for marketing,<br />
quality standards and adapting national<br />
charter contracts.<br />
The DBSV also concludes framework agreements<br />
with various partner companies and thus negotiates<br />
favourable purchasing terms for its members.<br />
The association's tasks are varied and are<br />
always based on its members' needs.<br />
The affiliated Verlag für <strong>Boots</strong>wirtschaft (Publishers<br />
for the Boat Trade) publishes instructional<br />
books for boat building, specialist trade books,<br />
relevant collections of laws with comments and<br />
"bootswirtschaft" – Germany's leading journal<br />
for the shipyard and retail sector.<br />
