Netto-Alkalinitätsgewinn bzw. die jährliche Rate wird dann auch über die Zeitdauer entscheiden, bis ein Bergbausee vollständig neutralisiert sein kann. Hinzu kommt ein unbekannter dynamischer Faktor, der sich aus der Zunahme der biologischen Entwicklung (Diversität <strong>und</strong> Ab<strong>und</strong>anzen) mit steigender Alkalinität <strong>und</strong> steigendem pH ergibt <strong>und</strong> der den Prozess der Neutralisierung noch beschleunigen kann. Zurzeit laufen im RL-111 Freilandexperimente mit Stroh <strong>und</strong> Carbokalk in einem Groß-Enclosure <strong>von</strong> 30 Metern Durchmesser (Geller et al. 2004). - 50 -
