WHY IS <strong>BECO</strong> FOOD BETTER<br />
FOR THE ENVIRONMENT?<br />
Meat production and overfishing can have harmful impacts on the<br />
environment. So we’ve taken a new approach to dog food concentrating<br />
on food provenance and ethical farming. We use free-range chicken,<br />
wild boar, and sustainably sourced MSC certified fish, so our chickens<br />
and boar live happier lives, and we’re helping to conserve fish stocks.<br />
With global food miles ever increasing, the pressure on our<br />
environment is building. Our food is made in the UK and all our<br />
ingredients are grown in the UK or Western Europe. By sourcing<br />
ingredients locally, we lower our carbon footprint and support local<br />
producers.<br />
We’re really proud our packaging is green too. We only use fully<br />
compostable packaging printed with water-based inks. Even the<br />
stay fresh zip seal at the top of the bag is compostable.<br />
Through the Beco Foundation, we give back 5% of all profits<br />
to local community, animal and environmental causes.<br />
