“I’m absolutely delighted”
Jennifer Fogh Pedersen appointed Head rider at Maas J. Hell Stallion Stud
(Klein Offenseth) A fantastic addition to the team at Maas J. Hell
Stallion Stud: Danish show jumper Jennifer Fogh Pedersen will take
up the position of Head rider at Maas J. Hell Stallion Stud on 1st September
2016. “She is the ideal choice”, believes the stallion station’s
owner Herbert Ulonska, and for good reason. The Danish rider has
been at home in the saddle since she was a child. She has competed
in Senior Nations Cups and, as a Junior, in the championships for
Denmark. She grew up in Katrinelund - one of the country’s largest
and most renowned studs.
Mutual delight
“I’m absolutely delighted”, says the smart blonde of her new appointment
in Klein Offenseth, as she has been familiar with Maas J. Hell
Stallion Stud for many years. With Stall Frazer leaving the stallion
station, Herbert Ulonska has taken the chance to recruit Jennifer Fogh
Pedersen for the stud farm. “I see it as a huge win for both of us”, says
Ulonska, “Jennifer has international experience, she rides very well
and has just the right touch with younger horses as well as with the older,
more experienced horses and stallions. She’ll be a real figurehead
for Maas J. Hell Stallion Stud.”
Working her way up…
Jennifer Kathrine Fogh Pedersen - to use her full name - started to
develop her skills with horses when she was just knee high. She is
the daughter of two successful riders - her mother Bettina Kirk Pedersen
and her late father Lindy Fogh Pedersen. From her parents,
Fogh Pedersen inherited not only talent but also perseverance, and
they taught her to be patient with challenging horses. Jennifer rode in
her first competition at the tender age of four, before quickly moving
on to competing in the Junior Nordic Championships and riding as a
member of the Danish national Juniors and Young Riders teams, in
both dressage and show jumping. Shortly after turning 20, she started
competing on the international stage and in Nations Cups, securing
victories and placings in Grand Prix competitions across Europe.
Leaving Denmark to take on the world…
In 2011 the show jumper decided to leave Denmark and gain experience
in international stables. Jennifer Fogh Pedersen worked as a
rider with Italian show jumper Piergiorgio Bucci in the Netherlands
and then with Tal Milstein in Belgium, developing new contacts
and learning a great deal about international business. Since 2012
she has lived and worked in Germany. As well as her work for Stall
Frazer, she has also freelanced, focussing especially on maintaining
and developing her links with Danish horse owners. “I was fortunate
that I always had some good horses”, says Jennifer Fogh Pedersen
today. Working with the stallions and sport horses of station
Maas J. Hell , Jennifer aims to take the horses to national and
international competition. She presents the stud’s stallion
Canstakko (Canturo-Stakkato) in international sport, is currently
training and riding the mare Clair de Lune and will soon
take on the 2012-born licensed Holstein stallion Conditus
(Casall-Contender). In the future, she will also be able to take on
riding duties for other owners’ sport horses.
