gesteigert werden. Die Schlagtechnik und Härte beim Smash können ohne eine gute Haltung im Oberkörper nicht effizient 

ausgebaut werden. Die verbesserte Einbein- und Rumpfstabilität kann nicht nur Umknicken und Rückenschmerzen 

verhindern, sondern auch die aktive Rückkehr in das Spielfeldzentrum beschleunigen. Eine normale Beweglichkeit in der 

Brustwirbelsäule und in der Hüfte kann dazu beitragen, die Reichweite über Kopf und in der Defensive zu verbessern – ohne

Functional strength and stabilization exercises can improve your performance on court and at the same time can protect 

you from injury - even in the long run! When Badminton players complain about pain and overuse syndromes, these are 

often in the same areas: pain in the elbow or shoulder, the lower back and the knee, mainly in the patella femoral region, 

the front of the knee. The good thing: these regions with their corresponding muscle chains can be trained effectively with 

a few exercises. At the same time - with the usage of these exercises Badminton performance will 

be enhanced. A good overhead technique and a strong smash need a good athletic posture in the 

upper body. A better one-leg and core stability can not only reduce twisting of the ankle and low 

back pain, but helps with a quicker return from the court corners. A normal mobility in the thoracic 

spine - and therefore the upper body - and hip - the lower body - will help to optimize overhead 

and defensive reach, without risking to overuse neck and low back muscles. So - let’s go! #readytowin

Verbessert die Stabilität bei Ausfallschritten und die Qualität der einzelnen Schläge in dieser Position. Zunächst wird mit aufrecht 

gehaltenem Oberkörper ein Ausfallschritt nach vorne durchgeführt. Beide Fußspitzen zeigen nach vorne. Die Gesäßmuskulatur des 

hinteren Beines wird explizit angespannt, dann werden 1-2 Ruderbewegungen mit den Armen und heruntergezogenen Schultern 

leicht unterhalb der Schulterhöhe durchgeführt. Aus dieser Position drückt man sich kontrolliert über das vordere Bein nach oben, 

wo kurz im Einbeinstand balanciert wird, bevor man mit dem anderen Bein die Ausfallschrittposition einnimmt. 

Lunge & Row works on the stability of the lunge and therefore the quality of the strokes in this position. From an athletic upright position 

the player performs a lunge forward. Both feet are pointing forward in this position and the glute of the back leg is engaged fully. In 

this position the player performs to rowing movements at a slightly lower than shoulder height position. From the lower position the 

player pushes forward and upward into a single leg stance that should be held and balanced for 1-2 seconds before continuing the 

lunge with the other leg.

Die Standwaagenposition wird mit gestrecktem Spielbein, welches in Linie mit dem Oberkörper gehalten 

wird, eingenommen. Parallel dazu werden die Arme bei nach hinten geführten Schultern in die T-Stellung 

gehoben. Das Standbein ist leicht gebeugt, die Hüftknochen sind auf einer Höhe, der Rumpf und die Gesäßmuskulatur 

des Spielbeines sind angespannt, die Zehenspitzen des Spielbeines sind zum Körper gezogen. 

Beim Einnehmen der Ausgangsposition bleiben Spielbein und Oberkörper weiterhin in einer Linie. 

From an athletic stance the player moves into the inverted hamstring position with engaged core and fully 

extended back leg, hip parallel to the floor and toes pointing down. Both arms move simultaneously into the 

„T“-position (reverse fly). The return into the starting position is initiated via the hip extension, upper body and 

back leg stay in one straight line at all times.

Zunächst wird die Beinrückseite gedehnt, indem die Hände nahe oder etwas vor den Füßen 

aufgesetzt werden. Aus dieser Position wandert man kontrolliert so weit in den Liegestütz, 

dass die Position mit angespannter Gesäß- und Bauchmuskulatur eine komplette Sekunde 

gehalten werden kann, ohne dass man in eine Hohlkreuzhaltung fällt. Dann wandert man ruhig 

durch kleine Fußgelenksschritte bei gestreckten Kniegelenken in die Dehnposition vorwärts. 

Nach einer kompletten Sekunde der Dehnung geht man wieder in die gestreckte Position. 

From the starting position the player performs a stretch of the back side by placing 

his hands on the floor in front of his feet („stretch position“). From this position 

the player moves forward into a long push up position. This position is held for 1-2 

seconds with core and glutes engaged. From this position the player performs 

ankle walks with his knee extended back into the stretch position which is again 

held for 1-2 seconds. The player performes 4-8 repetitions.

Die Übung „Rolling“ entwickelt grundlegend die Rumpfstabilität sowie die Beweglichkeit der oberen 

Segmente. Aus der Startposition in Rückenlage wird sich zunächst nur durch Drehung des Kopfes 

und Zuhilfenahme des Armes seitlich in die Bauchlage gerollt, ohne dabei die Beine zu nutzen – 

ebenso wieder aus der Bauchlage zurück in die Rückenlage. Analog wird die Übung mit einem Bein 

ausgeführt. Schwieriger wird es, wenn der Hebel der Beine verkleinert wird. Wichtig bei dieser 

Übung: Trennung der Hüfte und Schulter – hier wird dann parallel an der Beweglichkeit im Rumpf 

gearbeitet. 

The exercise „rolling“ develops both dynamic, rotary stability and mobility in the upper body. In the 

starting position on the floor with arms overhead, the player turns his body by using solely turning of 

the head, rotation of the upper body (at thorathic spine level) and reaching of the arm without help 

of the legs - same procedure from the prone position back into starting position. Following the same 

principle, the exercises can be performed using the lower body only. Key point for this exercises: hip 

and shoulder should be seperated to work both on mobility and cross linking stability.

Bei dieser Kniebeugen Variante wird zunächst aus dem Stand eine Dehnung der Beinrückseite 

durchgeführt, indem die Hände zu den Füßen geführt werden. Danach geht man in den Hocksitz, 

wobei beide Füße vollen Bodenkontakt haben. Zur Unterstützung greifen die Hände unter den 

Schuh. Aus dieser Position wird je Seite eine Rotation im Oberkörper und Dehnung der Brustmuskulatur 

durchgeführt, bevor beide Arme nach oben hinter den Kopf und die Beine wieder gestreckt 

werden. In der Endposition ist das Gesäß voll angespannt. 

In this squat variation the player performs a stretch of the backside of the legs while bending over 

and reaching towards the floor. After holding the stretch for 2 seconds, the player goes into the deep 

squat position without loosing full foot contact. To support this position, the player’s hand grabs 

under the tip of his shoes. From this position a rotation and slight chest stretch is performed on each 

side before standing up with the arms reaching to the ceiling. In the upper position the glutes should 

be fully engaged.

Ballherstellung/Shuttlecock production 

Die Federn werden zuerst gewaschen und getrocknet. Danach gilt es, die Federn richtig 

zu sortieren. Dafür stehen innovative, elektronische Sortiermaschinen zur Verfügung, die 

jede einzelne Feder genau vermessen. Nachdem die Federn zugeschnitten worden sind, 

werden sie wiederholt kontrolliert. Der Kork, der direkt aus Portugal angeliefert wird, wird 

mit einem PU-Überzug versehen. Für die Federfixierung werden 16 Löcher in den Kork gestanzt, 

in die die speziell sortierten Federn eingesetzt werden. Per Hand wird in atemberaubender 

Geschwindigkeit ein Doppelgarn angebracht. Die zu einem runden Korb justierten 

Federn werden anschließend mit speziellem Klebstoff fixiert. Alle Bälle werden per Hand 

und per Maschine auf ihre Geschwindigkeit und Flugverhalten geprüft, indexiert und danach 

in verschiedene Kategorien unterteilt. At first the feathers get washed and dried. Afterwards 

they have to be sorted. This procedure is carried out by innovative electronic scan 

and sorting machines which select and survey each feather. After cutting the feathers, they 

will be checked by a special admeasurement. Original Portuguese cork is then provided 

with a PU-coating. For fixing the feathers, there will be 16 holes, drilled into the cork, where 

the feathers will be inserted. Additionally, there will be a double-yarn attached manually, 

which grants even more hold. The feathers, which build a small basket, will be fixed with 

special glue. Every shuttle will be tested manually and by machine to check its speed and 

its flight characteristics. After that the shuttles will be classified into different categories.

Jedes Team besitzt nur ein Aufschlagrecht. 


Ballwechsel, so schlägt der Aufschläger weiter auf. Er wechselt dann 

in das andere Aufschlagfeld und schlägt auf den Partner des ersten 

Rückschlägers auf. Bei mehreren Punktgewinnen wechselt er also 





Die Positionen der Spieler bleiben dabei unverändert und es wird 

weder von rechts (bei geradem eigenen Punktetand) bzw. links (bei
