I agree to abide by its rules and bylaws. I understand that all members 18 years and older may participate in the JCC’s annual meeting. I understand that membership dues are payable in full at the time of joining or renewal unless a payment plan has been approved in advance. A payment plan only specifies the manner in which payments will be made and does not reflect a month-to-month membership commitment. If paying by monthly automatic payments from a credit card, I authorize the JCC of Syracuse to automatically charge my credit card account for each consecutive month of the plan. I understand that membership dues are automatically renewed each year unless I give notice in writing. Camps Specialty Camps 315-445-2360 | www.jccsyr.org JCC Camp Rishon School-Age Camps Children entering grades 1–6 Glitter and Glam Camp • Week 6: July 31 – August 4 • For children entering grades 1 & up • Price Level: C You will have a fabulous time this week being a fashionista at camp with your friends. Come together for a week of glamorous activities. We’ll make our own beauty products, tie die, style hair and nails, paint body art and more! Enrollment: Minimum of 8 and maximum of 24 campers. Golf with Drumlins Country Club • Week 4: July 17–21 • For children entering grades 1 & up • Price Level: A Learn golfing fundamentals including full swing, chipping, putting, rules and etiquette. Lessons will be held at Drumlins Country Club by their professional staff. Each camper will get quality time with the instructors and receive a certificate upon completion at the end of the week. Requirements: Campers are encouraged to bring their own clubs. Drumlins has a supply of clubs to share as well. Enrollment: Minimum of 8 and maximum of 24 campers. Gymnastics with Sherri Lamanna • Week 1: June 26–30 • Week 3: July 10–14 • Week 5: July 24–28 • Week 7: August 7–11 • Week 8: August 14–18 • For children entering grades 1 & up • Price Level: B Beginners to level 8. Uneven parallel bars, balance beam, vault, and floor exercises will improve strength and coordination. Field trips to Westside Gymnastics two days each week. All instructors are trained in gymnastics. Enrollment: Minimum of 8 and maximum of 24 campers. Horseback Riding with Trillium Stables Daily Field trip to Trillium Stables, Lafayette! • Week 1: June 26–30 • Week 3: July 10–14 • Week 6: July 31 – August 4 • Week 8: August 14–18 • For children entering grades 2 & up • Price Level: Premium Specialty Riding and horsemanship will be covered. Each day will include grooming and riding (indoor and outdoor facilities), plus hands-on demonstrations. Helmets will be provided. Requirements: Campers must wear stretchy or loose fitting long pants and closed-toed shoes. Waiver for Trillium Stables must be completed. Enrollment: Minimum of 8 and maximum of 12 campers. Karate with Marvin Labbate’s CNY Karate Daily field trip to CNY Karate! • Week 7: August 7–11 • For children entering grades 1 & up • Price Level: B Daily karate workout with Marvin Labbate and the experts of CNY Karate in East Syracuse. Enhances motor skill progression while addressing lifestyles and self-discipline. Enrollment: Minimum of 8 and maximum of 24 campers. Kitchen Science • For children entering grades 4 & up Week 5: July 24–28 • For children entering grades 1–3 Week 8: August 14–18 • Price Level: B Turn the kitchen into a science lab! We have recipes for gak, crystals and homemade root beer! Campers will take a field trip to the Museum of Science and Technology (MOST) and create concoctions to take home! Requirements: Campers should wear clothes that can get dirty. Enrollment: Minimum of 8 and maximum of 24 campers. Nature Nuts • Week 3: July 10–14 • For children entering grades 1 & up • Price Level: C This camp is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. Go into nature for games, crafts and creativity. Campers will take field trips to discover the nature in our backyards. Participate in animal tracking, making bird feeders, planting, scavenger hunts, hiking and more. Enrollment: Minimum of 8 and a maximum of 24 campers. Outdoor Inspiration with Mark Raush • Week 5: July 24–28 • For children entering grades 1 & up • Price Level: C Take a field trip to Green Lakes State Park with a sketchbook to capture the beauty of nature forever! You’ll use watercolors to bring the splendor of the outdoors into the art room. Draw and paint outdoors, and let the wonders of nature inspire your work! Enrollment: Minimum of 8 and maximum of 24 campers. Painting Camp with Mark Raush • Week 2: July 3–7 (not 7/4) • For children entering grades 1 & up • Price Level: C Campers will experience and try out different types of paints in order to express themselves, including water color, tempra, and acrylics. Discover YOUR painting medium while creating true works of art. Campers will take a field trip to the Everson Museum to see other paintings and get inspired.
