As we get deeper into the first quarter of<br />

<strong>2018</strong>, the holidays seem a distant memory.<br />

Those great top 10 lists designed to assist<br />

you with your new goals for the new year<br />

have been replaced by all of your urgent<br />

projects. Those discussions about what<br />

you may or may not adjust to grow your<br />

business in the new year, either have been<br />

forgotten or rationalized away. However,<br />

there is good news.<br />

You are still the captain of your ship, the<br />

master of your fate! You can re-start your<br />

goal of growing your business, now. In<br />

fact, the author, Mel Robbins, makes a<br />

compelling case that you can do it very<br />

quickly by using her five-second rule. I<br />

recommend that you watch her 20 minute<br />

TED talk and then read her book.<br />

One of the most shocking facts of that I read<br />

recently just may give you the impetus to<br />

re-start, today. In America, we have 60<br />

million+ businesses with 64 percent of<br />

them run at a loss or just at a break-even<br />

point, while only 36 percent make a profit.<br />

As you know, you get to choose which<br />

group you belong to.<br />

To be profitable, you gotta get paid!<br />

A smart plan to protect your profits is to<br />

have a diplomatic third party intervention<br />

system in place to connect with debtors.<br />

The fact is that the sooner you get<br />

help in reducing your DSO (days sales<br />

outstanding), the quicker you get to<br />
