THE POWER OF PLAYSTATION
Launching November 17th, PlayStation 3’s sleek
and simple exterior hides a whopping amount of
power. This third-generation console comes with a
pre-installed hard disk drive — you choose
between 20 GB or 60 GB ($550 or $660,
electronics stores). Both models feature Blu-ray
drive and Bluetooth wireless controllers.

Trying to pick one game to go along with that new PlayStation 3?
Resistance: Fall of Man (Price TBD, electronics stores) may be
the biggest release from Sony this season. With gorgeous
graphics, the military-action title has gamers battling the
Chimera, a mysterious species spreading a dangerous virus.

THE DEAL WITH NINTENDO
On November 19, Nintendo releases its
much-anticipated Wii console ($280,
electronics stores). At less than half the
price of the PlayStation 3 it’s much
more affordable, if not as powerful.
Wii (pronounced “we”) comes with an
innovative wireless remote controller that
detects motion (for example, when playing
a golf game you swing the controller just
like a club), a nunchuck controller and a
collection of five sports games.
THE LEGEND CONTINUES
The go-to title for Wii users this season will be The Legend of Zelda:
Twilight Princess ($60, electronics stores). This latest game in the
massively popular third-person adventure series sees our hero Link
travelling to the Twilight Realm where he transforms into a wolf.
