Efficient, High Speed Material Handling
Michigan Pneumatic air hoists are engineered to provide high lifting
speeds and accurate control. Lightweight, compact design for use in
a stationary position, but can also be quickly moved to another location.
Air hoists are extremely useful in hazardous environments where
electrical hoists are prohibited. Features external brake adjustment,
exhaust muffler, built-in lubricator and swivel mounted air inlet.
Extra Rugged Construction
Durable construction for constant, heavy-duty use. Designed for fast
moving production assembly operations and heavy manufacturing
industries.
Overload-Proof Air Motor for a Wide Safety Margin
The rotary vane air motor is completely enclosed. Motor is unaffected
by fumes, dirt or heat. Motor and controls can withstand constant
stopping and sudden starting. Can be overloaded or stalled without
damage to the hoist. Motor is inherently self-cooling and cannot be
burned out.
Safety Hooks and Automatic Limit Stops
Top and bottom hooks have safety snaps and hoist has automatic
limit stops to prevent overtravel.
Variable Speed Control
Operator can choose any speed from the slowest creep to full throttle.
The heaviest loads can be positioned quickly and accurately, or raised
rapidly. Features an external screw adjustment for lift and descent
speeds.
Pendant Type Control
Leaves the operator one hand free
to guide the load with precise
control. Preferred compact design
and easy handling.
Link or Roller Load Chain
All hoists are available with link or
roller (bicycle) type load chain. The
link type is recommended for
normal operations, where chain
can be pulled and flexed in any
direction. The roller load chain can

be pulled or flexed safely in only one direction, and is recommended in
applications where the load chain is not subjected to side pull. Chains
are heat treated for strength and flexibility.
