Timothy S. Hall Professor of Law Contracts I and II, insurance law, psychiatry, mental health and the law Professor Hall graduated from the University of Louisville School of Music in 1990 and Cornell Law School in 1993. He joined the faculty of the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 1999. Before joining the Louisville faculty, he practiced law with the corporate law department and health care law practice group of the law firm of Taft, Stettinius and Hollister in Cincinnati, Ohio and taught at the Northern Kentucky University’s Chase College of Law. Professor Hall served as Associate Dean from May 2006 to January 2009. Professor Hall serves on the University’s Institutional Review Board and is an affiliated faculty member of the University’s Institute for Bioethics, Health Policy and the Law. Professor Hall regularly teaches courses in Contracts, Insurance Law and Mental Health Law, although he has also taught Antitrust, Professional Responsibility, Health Policy and the Law, and Negotiable Instruments. His research interests and publications are primarily in the fields of drug and medical device liability and mental health law. He has presented scholarly work at regional, national and international conferences. Recent articles by Professor Hall have appeared in the Seton Hall Law Review and the South Carolina Law Review, among others. He has served as President of the Central States Law School Association and Chair of the AALS Section on Mental Disability and the Law.
