<strong>Baldwin</strong> is bringing fine and performing arts center stage with the Arts<br />

Task Force, comprised of faculty, administrators, students, parents, and<br />

members of the surrounding arts community. Together, these talented<br />

leaders will examine our current curriculum and strategize ways to<br />

enhance and grow our already outstanding programs. We look forward<br />

to sharing the task force’s progress with you as the year unfolds.<br />

Fit for a Queen<br />

Grade I students’ study of Africa culminated<br />

with an African Feast, where the<br />

girls wore the native jewelry and lappas<br />

(authentic dresses) they had designed.<br />

Visual Expressions<br />

Hua Hua Zhang, lead performer<br />

for the Beijing Puppet Arts Troupe,<br />

performed “Visual Expressions”<br />

for Lower <strong>School</strong> students. This<br />

educational program features a<br />

multifaceted and dramatic blend of<br />

Asian and Western puppetry with<br />

dance, music and lighting.
