Misericorida de Sao Paulo, the oldest hospital in the city. We<br />
have been voluntarily responsible for the institution’s <strong>com</strong>munication<br />
since 2004 and the campaign is part of the 5% movement,<br />
to encourage 5% of Brazilians to donate blood. Our aim was to<br />
inspire advertisers to donate space in shared content and <strong>com</strong>munication<br />
pieces by offering other agencies downloadable<br />
intervention tags to place in their own clients’ ads.” In Chile,<br />
Sylvie Dube, executive producer at Moonlighting, is seeing a<br />
new wave of US clients taking advantage of the country’s relative<br />
proximity. “Our new business is partly location-driven and<br />
partly thanks to the fact that talent rates are low,” she says.<br />
“Plus our crews are excellent, and thanks to their efficiency<br />
and the local geography, we can do a lot of different scenarios<br />
in a short time.<br />
“Recently we shot a Tiger beer <strong>com</strong>mercial which involved<br />
mocking up Italy, Germany, the US and Peru, and we managed<br />
all four in the same day. Production <strong>com</strong>pany Traktor told us<br />
that we were at the same level as LA — quite a <strong>com</strong>pliment!<br />
And then they hired our art director and flew her out to Cambodia<br />
for a further shoot.” Dube is justifiably proud of her team<br />
and its can-do attitude. “We worked with Boxer on a shoot that<br />

involved multiple car crashes, we’ve staged a boat race for Timberland<br />
with a stunt man jumping from boat to boat, and we’ve<br />
done quite a few kids spots recently. Chilean laws covering<br />
working with kids are less bureaucratic than in both Argentina<br />
and Brazil, where you are obliged to make applications seven<br />
days before the shoot, which can be impossible for some spots.<br />
“In terms of having kids working on set, Chilean law is less<br />
strict in terms of hours per day but, as we all know, working<br />
with kids is all about being kind and considerate with them,<br />
making sure they don’t get bored in between takes.”<br />
Monlighting also recently serviced an Outsider shoot for<br />
UK pharmaceutical brand Boots. “That was another quite intense<br />
job,” Dube says. “It involved several short stories per day and<br />
