Increased capacity for
growing demands
Copenhagen, 28 April 2005. Service Center Denmark has
expanded its activities in line with the growth in its
business. New machinery has been brought in to expand
the capacity of the workshop and the plant has been
optimised to maximise workshop output.
Recent, large-scale, tasks like the reengining of the
passenger ferry 'Banasa' can be done with increased
speed and efficiency. As part of new structure, service
operations have been refined and new quality checks
introduced. This results in more and faster reconditioning
and reengineering work.

the work and improve quality, we have also been more
clearly defined the roles and areas of responsibility –
leading to a better overall product for the customer."
Vessels from an increasing range of trades and sizes have
been attracted to Service Center Denmark by the range of
skills and quality of workmanship on offer to all customers.
The location of the Frederikshavn facility in the Northern
part of Denmark, at the gate to the Baltic Sea, makes it
very convenient for vessels using the the Scandinavian sea
lanes.
All activity and spare parts come with the assurance that
the work was performed by qualified experts, using the
manufactures authorised tools and spares parts – giving
you a guarantee of quality.
There are a large number of qualified staff in the workshop,
who are supported by an office staff who ensure that every
detail is fulfilled to the highest standard. Service Center
Denmark is backed-up by the nearby MAN B&W Diesel
factory and a dedicated group of experienced project
engineers. The Service Center also maintains a 'Flying
Squad' engineers to assist customers at any time and in
any location.
To date, Service Center Denmark has attended to over 600
vessels of all different sizes and types from all over
Northern European and from further afield.
Service Center Denmark supports all the old trade marks
that now fall within the MAN B&W Diesel group, including
MAN B&W Diesel two- and four-stroke, Alpha, Holeby
GenSets, Paxman, Ruston, Mirrless Blackstone. The
workshop is also an authorised Pielstick service centre.
