To open the ceremonies, a tapping of the 1 st beer keg was<br />
performed by Miss Oktoberfest 2009 Linda Buske and Ed Jacyno<br />
the Mayor of Pembroke. A very well organized afternoon & evening<br />
program featured entertainment provided by the Mississauga<br />
Express Band, Maple Leaf-Almrausch Schuhplattlers, and Swiss Alp<br />
Horns. Afternoon contests included: Wood Cutting, Beerstein<br />
Holding, and Cup Building! <strong>The</strong>re were door prizes, and all day sing<br />
alongs. <strong>The</strong> menu by Schmitts Catering featured: Bratwurst,<br />
Sauerkraut, Schnitzel, Potato Salad, and Pretzels. Camping was<br />
