Change <strong>in</strong> ownership <strong>of</strong> courses – GRADUATE – MAJOR COURSE CHANGE<br />
On February 22, 2011, the Board <strong>of</strong> Trustees approved the formation <strong>of</strong> the Science, Technology,<br />
Eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g, and Mathematics (STEM) Education Department. The STEM Education Department will be<br />
fiscally implemented on July 1, 2011.<br />
We are request<strong>in</strong>g a <strong>change</strong> <strong>in</strong> ownership for the mathematics and science education courses taught by<br />
STEM Education faculty be moved <strong>to</strong> the STEM Education Department as written <strong>in</strong> Appendix A<br />
(Attached) <strong>of</strong> the STEM Education Department Proposal. All <strong>of</strong> these courses currently reside <strong>in</strong> the<br />
Department <strong>of</strong> Curriculum & Instruction (<strong>EDC</strong>).<br />
There is no <strong>change</strong> <strong>to</strong> the content <strong>of</strong> the courses, just simply a <strong>change</strong> <strong>to</strong> the course Prefix.<br />
All courses listed below will go from <strong>EDC</strong> <strong>prefix</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>SEM</strong> <strong>prefix</strong>. This <strong>prefix</strong> was approved by Jeann<strong>in</strong>e<br />
Blackwell and the Registrar’s <strong>of</strong>fice.<br />
