STEPHEN BRUGGER Executive Director For Amcham Denmark 2009 was a significant milestone – our tenth year. The many of you that participated in the anniversary celebration in May got to experience firsthand the journey that has made AmCham the organization it has become – and what an active and satisfying journey! It was a journey that could not have been made without the active participation and loyal support of our members. Building on the momentum from the first decade, AmCham Denmark has entered its second decade at full speed, with a solid foundation for sustainable growth, not just in absolute numbers but more importantly, in stature, moving us closer to achieving our vision to become ”We hope that you will find this 2010 Yearbook & Membership Directory to be an interesting and informative resource for your business.” Message from the AMchAM teAM the leading voice for international business in Denmark. In this edition of AmCham Denmark’s Yearbook & Membership Directory we look back at 2009 and some of our key achievements. Our efforts this past year took many forms, including policy-driven meetings with key ministers and political decisionmakers, as well as business leaders; stimulating, high-level networking events; and top notch promotion and profiling opportunities for our members. 2009 was also a year for Am- Cham to review and improve the way in which we communicate with our members. The migration to the html based Business Brief was one step in this process that has allowed AmCham to communicate important news and upcoming activities quickly, easily, effectively and timely to the members. More importantly, AmCham invested in its most important communications tool in 2009 – the new www.amcham.dk, which was officially launched on January 25, 2010. Some noteworthy enhancements include easier navigation, a more comprehensive delivery of valuable information for our members and stakeholders, and more effective profiling for our sponsors. We are very pleased with the new functionality, look and feel…we’d love to hear what you think! On a personal note, we would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge all of the warm, working relationships we enjoy with our members, and the valuable relationships we share with our key partners and colleagues. These boost all our efforts and are precisely why we look forward to building on our progress year after year.
