Activities Director<br />

Dear Residents:<br />

Happy New Year! It’s 2012 and it is going to be a<br />

fabulous year at <strong>Verona</strong><strong>Walk</strong>� Make it your New Year’s<br />

Resolution to get more involved with activities…<br />

we need you! <strong>Verona</strong><strong>Walk</strong> is growing and we need<br />

volunteers to help in so many areas, remember the<br />

more helpers we have the more activities we can do!<br />

We need help with the Activities office: filing, flyers,<br />

etc, our website, setting up for events, staffing events,<br />

clean up after events and so much more! There are also<br />

so many residents with talents, share those with your<br />

fellow residents by leading a class or workshop! Most<br />

time commitments for volunteering are an hour or less�<br />

Important Notice regarding<br />

Activities reservations And Payments<br />

Due to the high volume of Activities and for more<br />

efficient tracking purposes, payment is required with<br />

reservation for all activities� There will only be a 72hour<br />

window for residents who are out of town� We<br />

thank you in advance for helping us make this smooth<br />

transition and to improve our overall accounting<br />

records here at <strong>Verona</strong><strong>Walk</strong>�<br />

Movie tickets<br />

Discount movie tickets are available for Regal, Edward<br />

and United Artists Studios. These can be purchased at<br />

the HOA Office.<br />

Premiere (unrestricted) Super Saver Ticket $7.50<br />

VIP (Restricted) Super Saver Ticket $6.50<br />

Tickets must be exchanged at the box office for movie<br />

of choice. There is a 50 cent shipping and handling fee<br />

charged to each order to cover these fees.<br />

Orders are limited 10 tickets please.<br />

SPEcIAL NEEDS AccommoDATIoNS<br />

If you or someone in your party is<br />

physically challenged and requires special<br />

accommodations, please let us know when<br />

registering for an activity� In most instances,<br />

we are able to accommodate special needs by arranging<br />

seating, purchasing special tickets and ensuring our buses<br />

have wheelchair access, etc� Thank you!<br />

OuR LIBRARY<br />

If donating books please only<br />

Hardcover Books Issued in 2005 or<br />

later� We do not accept paperbacks or magazines� Our library<br />

volunteers find it extremely frustrating when books older than<br />

the year specified are left in the library. In years past these<br />

volunteers have gone the extra mile and have taken these to<br />

the local public library, but they will no longer be doing so�<br />

Any books not within the guidelines will now be recycled. If<br />

borrowing books, please return promptly. Thank you.<br />

cancellation Policy<br />

Please read the cancellation policy listed within the article for most<br />

activities� As a general rule, for Special Events including Dinner Dances, there<br />

will be a full refund for cancellations made up to 7 days prior to the event<br />

date� For day trips the minimum time for cancellation is 15 days prior to the<br />

trip date� For ticket purchases such as theatre, sporting events and other special<br />

events as specified ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Cancellations after these dates<br />

for any reason including medical or family are subject to forfeiture of the<br />

entire cost unless the event is re-sold in which case a refund will be issued�
