The system works effectively by a single rescue operator and when used with Ferno Res-Q-Link enables a smooth and controlled recovery of a fall casualty. Unique to this system is the combination of a mechanical advantage system and lowering system (Mini Haul Kit) which allows the rescuer to raise or lower the casualty up to 50 m to safety. The Ferno Rescue Recovery System comes supplied preassembled, ready for immediate use and housed within a back packable heavy duty rope bag. It features a V-shaped cleat that if required, enables the operator to lock off the system during a hauling operation. The Ferno Mini Haul Kit is rated for one person rescue only.
Hi-Safe Rescue Pulley System Code FWE-CSRK (bag), FWE-CSRD (drum) Developed for backup and rescue situations the Hi-Safe Rescue Pulley System has a 4:1 lift advantage and a built-in lift and lock system which will also automatically lock in the event of a fall. It comes standard with a tie off adapter and 50 m of rope allowing approximately 12 m of lift. Supplied standard with a heavy duty rope bag, also available with optional dust proof stowage drum. Ferno FDU Code FWE-FDU 100 (with friction rack) FWE-FDU 200 (without friction rack) Optional drum The new Ferno FDU is designed for personal rescue, emergency escape, rescue operations or specialised rope work. It is a friction control, double stop, descending system, with a simple and soft moulded, operator handle. The system starts releasing its load when the handle is moved towards the central position. Should a panic grab take place and the handle is pulled past the central position, the system locks up into the double stop mode. This mode will only be maintained with the force exerted by the operator, until a gentle release takes place. If the handle is let go, the system automatically locks. For rescue loads (2 persons) the Ferno FDU is available with an additional friction rack. The Ferno FDU has been extensively tested with Donaghys 11 mm Rescue Response Static Rope and Donaghys 11 mm Response XT Rope and when used with either of these ropes will conform to AS/NZS 4488.1:1997.
