My parents lived on the Island for thirty (30) years. I realize the City is currently considering the approach to take with the Ferry site property, the leasing or acquisition options, and what uses of that property will be considered. I write concerning those issues. I am a very strong supporter of a use for the property that will allow for a boat yard. Such a facility is sorely needed ion the Island. The Bainbridge community is ties to the water and a huge percentage of the population enjoys boating in all its many forms. There are no facilities for boaters on the Island. Other than the convenience this would involve, it is a financial issue for the Island. We currently take our boat repair and repair and maintenance money off Island. Island keep that money on the Island and reinvested into our community. Please consider development of a boat yard on the site. Thanks you. W.L. Rivers Black Elaine Black
