4 First aid measures
General information: No special measures required.
After inhalation: Supply fresh air; consult doctor in case of symptoms.
After skin contact:
Instantly wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.
Instantly remove any clothing soiled by the product.
After eye contact: Rinse opened eye for 15 minutes under running water. Then consult doctor.
After swallowing:
Drink plenty of water (if possible with medicinal activated charcoal)
After swallowing immediately consult a doctor.
Information for doctor:
Treatment: symptomatical treatment (decontamination, vitalfunctions), no specific antidot known.
In the case of inhalation remain under medical observation for 48 hours.
Swallowing of large amounts can cause incident of gastrointestinal tract.
May produce methemoglobinemia, which at higher concentration will lead to cyanosis.
5 Fire fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing agents:
CO2, water sprinklejet or alcohol resistant foam.
Use fire fighting measures that suit the environment.
Unsuitable extinguishing agents (for safety reasons): Water jet.

Avoid desiccate
For safety reasons flush pump with water before operation in any case. After every operation flush
pump with water to avoid formation of any solid residues. Do not operate pump while valves are
shut (see item 8 and TRGS 511, 4.4).

Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition.
Keep away from flammable materials.
Storage:
Requirements to be met by storagerooms and containers: Do not use containers of zinc.
Information on storage in one common storage facility:
Store away from flammable, oxidant or explosiv substances.
Further information about storage conditions: Prevent from drying out.
8 Exposure controls and personal protection
Additional information about design of technical systems:
Pumps must be designed and operated that no dangerous reactions can occur. For transferring
and pumping only pumps without compression glands should be used.
Components with critical values that require monitoring at the workplace:
The product does not contain any relevant quantities of materials with critical values that have to
be monitored at the workplace.
Additional information:
The lists that were valid during the compilation were used as basis.
Additional instruction for repairs:
Take out any residues of the product by thoroughly washing out containers, tubes, pumps and any
other apparatus with water before handling with heat and fire (welding / burning). Authorized
personnel has to clear in writing any handling with heat and fire. An expert has to supervise
permanently the handling (see TRGS 511, 4.4).
