Thank you to all who participate and make this a worthwhile activity for our students, staff, and community
while allowing Wynford to be a leader in being environmentally “Smart”.
Animal feed and bird seed bags made of the heavy woven plastic material will be collected for the 6th grade Mohican
School in the Out-of-Doors fund. These bags will be sewn into tote bags and offered for purchase at a later date. Please
make sure these bags are clean and if possible neatly cut off the bottom of the bag.
SPECIAL NOTES
◊ Thank you to graduates of 2012 that helped with the recycling events or trash clean up after our home football games
during their high school tenure. A special of recognition to Ben Stuckey, Kinsey Richmond, Daniel Blank & John
Miller, faithful volunteers in our recycle collections.
◊ This year’s additions to our recycling collection on the school properties include more attractive and functionality of
containers within our lunchrooms and the covers for barrels around the track. These containers and covers are provided
by the Wyandot County Recycling Center and Solid Waste Management District.
◊ Also the district will be a party of the pilot project in collecting deodorant containers (stick, roll on, or gel but NO
aerosol cans) through Funding Factory benefiting the high school science club. At this time the collection process
has not began; we are awaiting information from Funding Factory regarding details of collection.
ACADEMIC BOOSTERS Dana Rausch
Welcome back to another great year!
As the students and staff of the Wynford School District embark on another active school year, the
Wynford Academic Boosters also begin another year of supporting the students of the district. The Academic
Booster’s purpose is to recognize and encourage academic achievements, as well as strengthen the
communication between school, home and community.
Our organization’s mission and purpose have expanded over the last few years; however, our main focus is to recognize
and reward academic success at every level of education in the Wynford Schools.
The Academic Boosters willingly accept any help or participation individuals or businesses choose to provide. The brochure
in this newsletter and on the Wynford website not only highlights our support of many academic programs, but
also includes this year’s membership drive. Please consider helping us promote the success of our students!
