Masa Inakage Candidate for Director at Large In the highly inter-connected world with fast changing economy and social value, ACM SIGGRAPH must continuously adapt and create new values for the organization to sustain its leadership to serve the international community in computer graphics and interactive techniques. The challenge is to build a strategy and execution plan through multiple perspectives beyond what ACM SIGGRAPH does today. I have extensive experience with the SIGGRAPH community both as a contributor in various programs and in the capacity of a volunteer as a member of the Executive Committee and Conference Chair for SIGGRAPH ASIA 2009. I also have experience in building strategies for academic and research institutions as well as international organizations such as World Economic Forum. As Director-at-Large, I will leverage my strategist experience to strategize how ACM SIGGRAPH can strengthen its core value of excellence and diversity. My primary interest of contribution is to strategize international community building through the use of social media and remote conference participation. I also plan to expand the scope of ACM SIGGRAPH by identifying areas in which SIGGRAPH expertise could contribute to solve global issues. It is important for ACM SIGGRAPH to be positioned as an international community leader to act for a better future.
