Introduction
Pigment preparations
Flexonyl ® , Colanyl ® , Ecosperse ® are
highly concentrated aqueous pigment
preparations which are distinguished
by high tinting strength, excellent light
fastness and low viscosity. These are
particularly developed for NPK and
DAP fertilizer for mass coloration and
surface coating.
Licosperse ® is a finely dispersed
oil-based preparation especially
developed for the use in oil coating
or anticaking formulations.
Dyes
Vitasyn ® is a range of water-soluble
food colorants which meet most of
the toxicological regulations. All dyes
are in compliance with the european
E-dyes, selected dyes could be
offered as FD&C certified dyes.
Clariant recommends these products
particularly for mass coloration of
liquid fertilizers or powder fertilizers.
Duasyn ® is a range of water-soluble
dyes. These dyes are recommended
especially for water-based fertilizers
for mass coloration.
Fat is a range of nonionic extenderfree
solvent dyes. They have good
solubility in almost all organic solvents,
especially in oil. The Fat dyes are
recommended for oil-based coating
of fertilizers.

Waxes
Licowax ® , are solid waxes based
on wax esters, montan wax and
ethoxylated wax acids. They are
highly suitable for incorporation into
slow release fertilizers.

The use of colorants helps to differentiate
between qualities of fertilizer.
Clariant’s pigment preparations are
especially selected colorants for
economic fertilizer formulations as
well as for premium qualities.

The colorants could be used for

stability against phosphoric acid as
