Although I have been
following Christ for a
long time I continue to be
profoundly awed by the
person of Jesus; and after
all, Christmas is really all
about Christ.
Here are three things that stagger me. Jesus
proclaimed his pre-existence. He said that he had
been involved with God’s people for thousands
of years!
Also his coming was predicted by prophets.
Some of those detailed predictions pre-dated
Christ’s arrival by 800 years!
More than that, I am stunned by the bigger
than human dimensions to his personality; his
power and his intellect. His beyond-normal
personhood was proved more by his death and
resurrection than his birth, but nevertheless, at
Christmas we should all take a closer look at the
person of Jesus.
