Matteo, a young engineer, returns to the mountains of his childhood to visit his father’s grave. The<br />

serene atmosphere is interrupted by a bee that lands on his hand. When his car runs off the road into<br />

a snowbank, Matteo seeks help at a nearby farmhouse. There he meets Giulio, an elderly and eccentric<br />

farmer who tows the car with an old tractor, then invites Matteo to stay for supper. The young engineer<br />

feels obliged to stay for the night in that house full of memories, sentiments and nostalgia.<br />

Director’s Biography<br />

Massimiliano Camaiti was born in Rome (Italy), in 1977. Massimiliano graduated in Economics<br />

before deciding to concentrate on his greatest passion: filmmaking. He started working as an<br />

assistant to several Italian directors: Carlo<br />

Verdone, Silvio Soldini and Andrea Barzini. His<br />

additional experience as a screenwriter<br />

involves short films and various TV series. He<br />

is an award-winning director. In 2009, he was<br />

chosen by Gabriele Salvatores to direct<br />

‘L’ape e il vento’, as part of the ‘Per Fiducia’<br />

project.<br />
