The most important features
out of the HDMI ® 1.4 specification
HDMI ® Ethernet Channel
All via HDMI ® connected devices will build up one network. If there is a connection to the
internet available, devices could start e.g. one software update from the internet without a
separate LAN cable. The HDMI ® Ethernet Channel supports current and further IP based
functions like DLNA, UPnP, IPTV, LiquidHD and others
-> The only thing which is needed is one single HDMI ® Cable.
The following HDMI ® Cable will support the Ethernet Channel:
- Standard HDMI ® Cable with Ethernet
- High Speed HDMI ® Cable with Ethernet
Audio Return Channel
The Audio Return Channel will help to make connections simple – there is no need to make
one additional audio connection from the display to the audio system any more.
The following HDMI ® Cable will support the Audio Return Channel:
- Standard HDMI ® Cable
- Standard HDMI ® Cable with Ethernet
- Automotive HDMI ® Cable
- High Speed HDMI ® Cable
formats available:
3840 x 2160 Pixel @ 24Hz, 25Hz, 30Hz
