OPEIG CEREMOIES<br />

There being a constitutional number <strong>of</strong> <strong>Chapter</strong>s present, M. . . E. . . <strong>Griff</strong>ith <strong>Jones</strong> III, <strong>Grand</strong><br />

High Priest, <strong>of</strong>ficially opened the Two Hundred Twelfth Convocation <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Chapter</strong><br />

<strong>of</strong> the <strong>State</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>New</strong> York in due and ancient ritualistic form with the Officers previously<br />

listed present and in their positions. The meeting was opened with prayer. The flag <strong>of</strong> the<br />

United <strong>State</strong>s <strong>of</strong> America was presented and the Pledge <strong>of</strong> Allegiance given, followed by one<br />

verse <strong>of</strong> the “Stars Spangled Banner” and one verse <strong>of</strong> “O Canada”.<br />

The <strong>Grand</strong> High priest called for any special resolutions that needed to be brought before<br />

the <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Chapter</strong>.<br />

ADMISSIO OF VISITORS<br />

On motion <strong>of</strong> M. . . E. . . Edward S. <strong>New</strong>sham:<br />

Be it resolved that Royal Arch Masons in good standing be admitted to the <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Chapter</strong><br />

during this Annual Convocation provided that this permission be not subsequently revoked<br />

by the objection <strong>of</strong> a member <strong>of</strong> this <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Chapter</strong>, except at the time <strong>of</strong> the election <strong>of</strong><br />

Officers.<br />

HOURS OF MEETIG<br />

On motion <strong>of</strong> M. . . E. . . John S. <strong>Jones</strong><br />

Be it resolved, that the session <strong>of</strong> this Annual Convocation, after the close <strong>of</strong> this morning’s<br />

session, shall be opened at eight forty-five o’clock tomorrow morning and at such<br />

time in the afternoon as the <strong>Grand</strong> High Priest shall prescribe.<br />

ELECTIO OF OFFICERS<br />

On motion <strong>of</strong> M. . . E. . . Courtland M. Andrew:<br />

Be it resolved that the Election <strong>of</strong> Officers and Trustees be made the special order <strong>of</strong><br />

business at 12 noon today.<br />

TESTIMOIAL<br />

On motion <strong>of</strong> M. . . E. . . Walter J. Hilsenbeck:<br />

To the <strong>Grand</strong> King<br />

Resolved, that a Special Committee be appointed to procure and present to the Most<br />

Excellent <strong>Grand</strong> High Priest, M. . . E. . . <strong>Griff</strong>ith <strong>Jones</strong> III, our retiring <strong>Grand</strong> High Priest, a suitable<br />

testimonial in token <strong>of</strong> the esteem and appreciation <strong>of</strong> the Companions and <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Grand</strong><br />

<strong>Chapter</strong>, and that his portrait be published in the <strong>Proceedings</strong> <strong>of</strong> this Annual Convocation.<br />

Be it resolved that all Committee Reports be received, made a part <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Proceedings</strong><br />

<strong>of</strong> this Annual Convocation and that they be printed in the <strong>Proceedings</strong> <strong>of</strong> this year’s<br />

Annual Convocation.<br />
