We have continued this year under a resolution enacted by Grand Chapter on March 1,
2002, authorizing the services of a financial advisor.
In a poor year for investments, the Funds decreased in value by some 19%.
The recapitulation of the several funds for the year ended December 31, 2008, in presented
for your information by our Grand Treasurer.
Permanent Fund
Diseases of the Lungs Fund
At the Grand Chapter Convocation March 7, 2005, approval was given to distribute to
distressed Companions and dependents of Companions who suffer from diseases of the
lungs, a sum not to exceed $30,000.00 and $18,000.00 to Grand Chapter for administrative
costs related to the Fund. Any balance of income is to be used in accordance with the purposes
of the Fund. A motion to continue these amounts is now proposed. Motion was made,
seconded and approved.
Scholarship Fund
The Trustees propose the following resolutions:
“RESOLVED: That the Trustees of the Grand Chapter of the State of New York, Royal
Arch Masons, be authorized to expend a sum not exceeding the investment income, for the
