Judy Moore’s mother instilled a work
ethic and a giving philosophy into
her daughter that has influenced
her character and the course of her life.
“When you can,” her mother said, “give to
somebody else, and when they ask to pay
you back, say ‘no’ and ‘pass it on.’” Judy has
not only honored her mother’s advice with
a $100,000 planned gift to Orchestra Nova,
she also donates approximately 20 hours
each week to the organization, providing
administrative help and keeping the office
organized and operating smoothly.

According to the Chapmans, “Our
available funds for annual donations
are limited, but our estate will provide
adequately for our sons and their
families, so there is ‘room’ to include a
provision for Orchestra Nova. Of course,
we would be happy to be able to make
larger gifts right now, but at least we
can make a significant investment in the
long-term well-being of Orchestra Nova,
ensuring the pleasure and enjoyment
of future generations of listeners.” The
Chapmans have generously provided a
$10,000 planned gift to Orchestra Nova.

General Information
Silence is golden
Please turn off all cell phones, pagers
and electronic watches prior to and
throughout the performance. We also
ask that there be no e-mailing or texting
during the performance.
Cameras and recording equipment
Our agreement with the American
Federation of Musicians prohibits
unauthorized recording devices (including
cell phones and digital cameras) and
photography during the performance.
Late arrivals and early exits
Performances at St. Paul’s Cathedral and
Sherwood Auditorium begin promptly
at 7:30 p.m. and performances at the
Irwin M. Jacobs Qualcomm Hall begin at
8:00 p.m. Latecomers will be seated at an
appropriate interval. We regret that no
refunds or price adjustments can be made
for late arrivals. Guests who must leave
before the end of the performance are
requested to do so between completed
works and not during the performance.
Access for persons with disabilities
Wheelchair access, seating, and curbside
service are available. Please make
arrangements with our customer relations
manager at 858-350-0290, ext. 7, so that
we may assist you.

Refunds and ticket exchanges
We regret that no refunds can be made
on season tickets or individual ticket sales.
However, we understand that plans change
so we offer ticket holders the opportunity to
exchange their tickets in advance for a ticket
of the same value for an alternate date of the
performance (single ticket exchanges are
based on availability). Call Orchestra Nova at
858-350-0290 to make arrangements.
Tax deductions for unused tickets
We also offer ticket holders the option of
donating unused tickets for a tax-deductible
donation of the face value of the ticket(s).
Please contact our office and we will send
you a receipt for a tax-deductible donation.
Lost tickets
If you have lost or misplaced your tickets,
please call Orchestra Nova and we will be
happy to arrange for a new set of tickets to
be mailed to you or left at the box office
the night of the concert.
