Constant Permeke
Naar aanleiding van de zestigste verjaardag
van de dood van Constant Permeke
organiseert het Paleis voor Schone Kunsten,
samen met het Koninklijk Museum voor
Schone Kunsten Antwerpen, een
overzichtstentoonstelling van zijn werk. Hij
geldt als de belangrijkste schilder van het
Vlaamse expressionisme, met voorts ook
figuren als Gustave De Smet en Frits Van
den Berghe. Het expressionisme was bij
Permeke veeleer een zaak van levenshouding
dan van stijl.
