Scaneagle Developed in partnership with The Boeing Company, ScanEagle’s small
operational footprint includes a pneumatic catapult and Insitu’s proprietary
VS-C001
SkyHook retrieval system that offers true runway-independence. This
permits launches and captures on small ships, unimproved terrain, and in
to the wind for superior operating envelopes. ScanEagle has a low acoustic,
visual, and infrared range signature, an advanced muffler, and a mature
modular design.
Boomerang uses passive acoustic detection and computer-based signal
processing to locate the shooter. When mounted on a vehicle, the system
operates when the vehicle is stationary or moving. Boomerang uses a
single mast-mounted, compact array of microphones to detect incoming
fire. Boomerang detects incoming supersonic small arms fire for bullet
trajectories passing the mast, and for shooters firing at maximum
effective weapons’ ranges. It detects and reports incoming fire and the
relative shooter position (including elevation) quickly.
All ShotSpotter GLS are comprised of three components; a network of
acoustic sensors, the ShotSpotter Location Server, and the ShotSpotter
PSC display software and user interface. When an explosive discharge
occurs within the coverage area, the system detects, locates,
identifies, and classifies the sound in seconds. The information captured is
immediately relayed to the ShotSpotter PSC. Information from a detected
discharge is sent to VSOC Virtual Shield for processing and displaying.
