BARRY SAPP had his painting, “Parasol for Pepe” accepted into the 12th
Annual “Empire 100” Western Art Show & Sale, January 9th- March 9th.
GEORGE NADLER has a show at Skyline Country Club opening with a
reception Feb. 3, 5:30-7:30 p.m. He is showing a group of paintings done
on a boat trip from Budapest to Amsterdam in October 2011. This show
runs 2 weeks.
DEL MARINELLO will be participating with three other artists in a show,
“Vive Les Artistes” at the Community Performance & Art Center Gallery
in Green Valley, March 3- April 1. The Reception is March 9, 5-7 p.m.
DEANNA THIBAULT is continuing to teach classes at the SAWG
Gallery on Mondays. Each session is 4 weeks. 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. is
Watercolor or Acrylic with or without collage for Intermediate to
Advanced painters for $100 per session. Watercolor for Beginners or
advanced beginners is 2:30- 5:30 p.m. for $75 per session.
Dates are Feb. 13,20,27 and March 5. In March- 12,19,26, and April 2.

On March 16, 17, and 18, over 54 artists are participating in the 4th
annual Santa Cruz Valley Open Studio Tour sponsored by the Tubac
Center of the Arts. Local artists from Sahuarita, Green Valley, Amado,
Tubac, Rio Rico, and Nogales will open their studios to the public for
this one weekend. In addition, local Esplendor and Tubac Golf resorts
will host artists with free art demonstrations each day; food and drink
specials are available at these sites each day of the tour. A FREE full
color catalogue will be available with maps to artists’ studios, sample
photos of participating artists work, and listings of events, restaurants,
and shopping. The tour will be launched with an artists reception and
preview exhibition at Tubac Center of the Arts March 16 from 5 - 7pm.
