rescue <strong>of</strong> Kurt Muse from<br />
Panama’s Modelo Prison. <strong>The</strong><br />
MH-6 “Little Bird” flies over<br />
<strong>the</strong> prison display ro<strong>of</strong>.<br />
Muse was present during<br />
<strong>the</strong> dedication ceremony and<br />
was impressed by <strong>the</strong><br />
diorama.<br />
“<strong>The</strong> Special Forces are<br />
<strong>the</strong> bro<strong>the</strong>rs that I never knew<br />
I had,” said Muse. “People<br />
that visit <strong>the</strong> museum will<br />
realize that <strong>the</strong>se are great<br />
Americans, heroes, and<br />
proverbial giants; out <strong>the</strong>re in front so we can all rest<br />
a little easier at night.”<br />
O<strong>the</strong>r exhibits depict close air support in<br />
Operation Enduring Freedom, Special Forces and<br />

scene in <strong>the</strong> Philippines, Special Forces students<br />
training in a Robin Sage exercise, a Ground Mobility<br />
Vehicle in Nor<strong>the</strong>rn Iraq, and a map depicting<br />
Special Operations worldwide missions. <strong>The</strong><br />
exhibits come to life through a combination<br />
<strong>of</strong> scenery, equipment, mannequins, audiovisual<br />
presentations and photography.<br />
“<strong>The</strong> museum is <strong>the</strong> first Army museum<br />
residing <strong>of</strong>f-post and is a partnership between<br />
<strong>the</strong> museum foundation and <strong>the</strong> Army, city,<br />
county and state,” said Klotz. “<strong>The</strong><br />
partnership between <strong>the</strong>se organizations<br />
allows us to serve <strong>the</strong> whole community.”<br />
In addition to <strong>the</strong> 33,000-square-foot<br />
exhibit galleries, <strong>the</strong> museum <strong>of</strong>fers <strong>the</strong> Pitch,<br />
Roll &Yaw motion simulator that enables<br />
visitors to go through <strong>the</strong> paces <strong>of</strong> special<br />
operations airborne training and a large<br />
screen <strong>the</strong>ater that shows <strong>the</strong> museum’s film<br />
“Descending from <strong>the</strong> Clouds.”<br />
