Sequences and tank-mixes
Chekker can be tank-mixed or used in sequence with the following ALS grass-weed herbicides at the following maximum dose rates:
Atlantis WG 400 g/ha with Chekker up to 240 g/ha
Hatra/Horus 1.2 L/ha Chekker up to 240 g/ha
Pacifica 400 g/ha with Chekker up to 180 g/ha
Othello 1 L/ha with Chekker up to 240 g/ha
All the above tank-mixes should have biopower added at 1 L/ha.
For the optimum grass-weed control with Atlantis WG, Hatra/Horus, Pacifica and Othello do not mix with any other product
apart from biopower.
Chekker is compatible with a range of other products. For latest information visit www.bayercropscience.co.uk or call Bayer Assist
Sprayer hygiene
To avoid subsequent damage to crops other than cereals it is important that the spray tank, boom, hoses, filters and nozzles are thoroughly washed
out to remove all traces of Chekker immediately after spraying using a proprietary sprayer cleaner according to the label instructions for that product.
Best use
For optimum results, apply Chekker during warm weather, when the soil is moist and the weeds actively growing
Dry conditions resulting in moisture stress may reduce effectiveness
Chekker can be used on all soil types
Control of weeds with Chekker is slow, particularly under cool, dry conditions. In some instances, the weeds may only be stunted but they
will normally have little or no competitive effect on the crop
Applications to spring barley may cause transient crop yellowing, however this should not affect yields
Cautions
Do not tank-mix or sequence with any other ALS inhibitor unless the sequence/tank mix is approved by CRD
In addition to cereals, winter oilseed rape and winter field beans may be sown in the same year as Chekker is applied and these must be
preceded by ploughing or thorough cultivation. A minimum of 3 months must separate an application of Chekker and the drilling of winter
oilseed rape
After an application of Chekker there are no restrictions on following cereal crops or crops sown in the spring of the following year
Key aspects of Chekker resistance management strategy
As part of the Herbicide Resistance Management Strategy for Chekker, do not apply Chekker in sequence with Atlantis WG, Hatra or Horus
for the spring control of common chickweed in order to avoid increased selection of herbicide resistant individuals.
Atlantis WG, Hatra, Horus, Chekker, Othello and Parcifica are registered trademarks of Bayer. Chekker contains iodosulfuron and
amidosulfuron. Atlantis, Hatra, Horus, Pacifica contain mesosulfuron and iodosulfuron. Othello contains mesosulfuron, iodosulfuron
