SECTION 7<br />

PAYMENT OF ANNUAL SALARIES<br />

7.1 The annual salaries of full-time employees who are paid monthly shall<br />

be apportioned as set out in Table 4 below.<br />

7.2. The annual salaries of full-time employees who are paid weekly shall<br />

be apportioned as set out in Table 5 below.<br />

Part-Time or Sessional Staff in Month of Joining or Leaving<br />

7.3. The annual salaries of part-time or sessional staff who are paid monthly<br />

or weekly should be apportioned as above, except in the months or<br />

weeks in which employment commences or terminates, when they<br />

should be paid <strong>for</strong> the hours or sessions worked.<br />

Full-Time Employees Leaving One NHS Employer to Join Another<br />

7.4. Where full-time salaried employees terminate their employment<br />

immediately be<strong>for</strong>e a weekend <strong>and</strong>/or a public holiday <strong>and</strong> take up a<br />

new salaried post with another NHS employer immediately after that<br />

weekend <strong>and</strong>/or that public holiday, payment <strong>for</strong> the intervening day or<br />

days, i.e. the Saturday (in the case of a 5 day working week) <strong>and</strong>/or the<br />

Sunday <strong>and</strong>/or the public holiday, shall be made by the first employer.<br />
