Check list<br />

1. Never have the floors delivered before the house is closed, dry and warm, and the humidity levels are<br />

under control.<br />

2. Carry the planks <strong>in</strong>to the house upon delivery and never, under any circumstances, leave them out-<br />

side for the night.<br />

3. Normally, the planks can be <strong>in</strong>stalled immediately, but dur<strong>in</strong>g the w<strong>in</strong>ter, they should be left <strong>in</strong> the<br />

room for 24-48 hours prior to <strong>in</strong>stallation.<br />

4. Keep an eye on the temperature and humidity levels. If the planks are stored at a humidity level<br />

above 50% RH, they will absorb moisture and thus expand. This will eventually cause larger<br />

contraction cracks than would normally be expected.<br />

5. Be absolutely sure that the concrete is dry. Measure the moisture level. Concrete moisture may<br />

destroy wooden floors. See D<strong>in</strong>esen humidity <strong>in</strong>structions.<br />

6. Dur<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>stallation, remember to consider colour and ve<strong>in</strong>s of the wood. The aim is to arrange the<br />

floor <strong>in</strong> a way so that the result is harmonious.<br />

7. Sand all D<strong>in</strong>esen floors prior to f<strong>in</strong>ish<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

8. An ord<strong>in</strong>ary shuffle sander or rotary sander are not appropriate tools for sand<strong>in</strong>g of large surface<br />

areas. Contact a professional floor expert or D<strong>in</strong>esen.<br />

9. For floor heat<strong>in</strong>g - see D<strong>in</strong>esen floor heat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>structions.<br />

10. Use only D<strong>in</strong>esen products or products approved by D<strong>in</strong>esen for f<strong>in</strong>ish<strong>in</strong>g. And see D<strong>in</strong>esen f<strong>in</strong>ish<strong>in</strong>g<br />

<strong>in</strong>structions.<br />

11. D<strong>in</strong>esen’s warranty does not apply to damages caused by construction humidity.<br />

12. D<strong>in</strong>esen does not accept compla<strong>in</strong>ts about the visual appearance of <strong>in</strong>dividual planks after <strong>in</strong>stalla-<br />

tion.<br />

13. Remember always to contact D<strong>in</strong>esen if you have questions about <strong>in</strong>stallation or f<strong>in</strong>ish<strong>in</strong>g.<br />
