planet in preparation for his grab at power.
The book of Revelation states that before the return
of Jesus, those who refuse to worship the beast will be
prevented from buying and selling. I’ve had a number
of people ask me over the years, “And just how is he
going to manage that?”
There’s no question that back in the days of
mechanical cash registers, this seemed outside the
realms of possibility. Go back a couple of hundred years
and the idea seemed entirely preposterous.
But now? In today’s electronic economy, you can
do your banking online or over the phone, and you
can buy anything you need on the Internet, without
exchanging a single dollar bill.
Cash isn’t used like it used to be—most people
conduct transactions using credit cards, debit cards or
checks. Few people are paid by their employer in cash.
One’s wages are almost always direct-deposited into a
bank account, and cash is usually accessed via ATM.
This being so, how difficult would it be for someone
in authority to prevent people from buying and selling?
With the click of a mouse, any authorized bank
employee could effectively prevent you from buying
