INTRODUCTION
Rush Hour Express German is a musical language program that uses the power of catchy
melodies and dynamic rhythms to introduce you to basic German expressions and vocabulary for
daily life. As you will quickly discover, Rush Hour Express German is not a grammar course.
There are no rules to memorize here! The method is simple and direct: Listen, repeat, and if you
wish, sing along! The musical styles are diverse and the language learning process is quick and
enjoyable.
Excerpted from the Berlitz Rush Hour German program, the Rush Hour Express German
audio "shows" are designed to be listened to again and again for your language-learning pleasure
and progress. You will soon find yourself speaking German without effort, as you follow our lead
character Jon through all the events of his day. And as Jon learns German, so will you, with the
assistance of a very unusual German teacher—and original music that will attune you to the
language so that it sticks with you.
The bilingual Rush Hour Express German approach will ease you into the language as you hear
words and expressions first in English and then in German. And although reading is not required
for the Express experience, for additional support, the entire script and song lyrics are included in
this Listener’s Guide. If you have ever wanted to learn German but thought that you didn’t have
