those who wish to attend.
Exclaim Returns!
Exclaim, Toledo’s largest outdoor
Christian music festival, is returning
for its third year! This free, familycentered
event will be held
TODAY from 2:00–9:00pm at the Monsignor Schmit
CYO Athletic Complex, S. Holland-Sylvania Road.
Last year 7,000 people attended and enjoyed the music of
some of our country’s top Christian artists. Popular
Christian band Kutless headlines this year’s group of
artists, which includes The City Harmonic and Josh
Blakesley. Exclaim is sponsored by Medical Mutual and
The Toledo Catholic Diocese. Food and non-alcoholic
beverages will be sold. Inflatables, children’s games, teen
activities and information on Catholic ministries and area
businesses will also be offered. The day will conclude
with an outdoor Mass featuring priests from across the
Diocese and music from Josh Blakesley.

BOOTH AWARDS
SCHOLARSHIP TO
ST. ROSE GRADUATE

benefactor of St. Francis de Sales
High School and a St. Rose parishioner, Mr. George
Booth, has established an endowed fund to provide
an incentive scholarship to an outstanding scholarathlete
currently attending St. Francis de Sales. Mr.
Booth established this award in 1998 and recently
selected Kyle Lach, senior, to receive the
scholarship. Lach is the son of James and Julie Lach
of Perrysburg, also St. Rose parishioners.
The scholarship is awarded to a freshman,
sophomore or junior athlete in any varsity sport at St.
Francis. The student-athlete must have at least a
cumulative grade point average of 4.0. Selection is
made from among nominees at the beginning of the
previous 4 th quarter to be applied to the following
academic year.
Mr. Booth feels very good about choosing
Lach. “Fr. Ron and I took the young man to lunch at
Stella’s in Perrysburg. Kyle is a gentleman, a very
nice, impressive young man. He is a good product of
a St. Rose education. He is a nice athlete, works hard
at St. Francis and he’s going to The Ohio State
University.”
"Kyle has matured into a young man with a
healthy balance in his life,” said Coach Jim Neary.
“He ranks near the top of his class academically, he
runs at a very competitive level, and he understands
the importance of friends, family, and faith.”
