The bolt assembly can only be inserted<br />

in the receiver when the warning pin<br />

is flush in the bolt rail (fig. 18), indicating<br />

that the retaining latch is seated<br />

correctly.<br />

Note: Bolt heads for left-hand bolts are<br />

stamped »L« below the caliber group<br />

marking.<br />

Warning:<br />

The bolt head assembly consists of two<br />

major parts: The bolt head and the surrounding<br />

expanding shell.<br />

These two parts are bound together by<br />

a rivet (fig. 19). It is strictly forbidden to<br />

loosen that rivet!<br />

Firing the rifle with the expanding shell<br />

removed, will inevitably cause the blowout<br />

of the bolt head assembly and injury<br />

or death to the shooter or bystanders!<br />
