CHAPTER 2<br />

THE AGGRESSOR GROUND FORCES<br />

Sectio - G(ENERAL<br />

a. <strong>Aggressor</strong> ground combat arms include rifle (the basic arm),<br />

artillery (including missiles), tank, airborne, engineer, signal<br />

and chemical troops. All these arms with their headquarters<br />

are subordinate to the Ground Force Headquarters. Rifle troops<br />

do not have a separate headquarters but are directly subordinate<br />

to the <strong>Aggressor</strong> Ground <strong>Forces</strong> Headquarters. See chapters 9<br />

and 11 for use of artillery.<br />

b. Doctrine for rifle units is developed directly by the Ground<br />

<strong>Forces</strong> Headquarters. The headquarters of the other combat arms<br />

are resp<strong>on</strong>sible for the development of specialized doctrine and<br />

the c<strong>on</strong>duct of specialized training, research and development programs,<br />

and supervisi<strong>on</strong> of procurement, storage, issue, and maintenance<br />

of specialized equipment and supplies applicable to their<br />

arm.<br />

17. Administrative Services<br />

<strong>Aggressor</strong> maintains administrative services comparable to the<br />

United States Army Judge Advocate General Corps, Finance<br />

Corps, Corps of <strong>Military</strong> Police, and Inspector General. All these<br />

services except for the <strong>Aggressor</strong> Inspecti<strong>on</strong> Staff are part of the<br />

Rear Services Organizati<strong>on</strong>.<br />

18. Technical Service Troops<br />

The <strong>Aggressor</strong> technical service troops, listed below, are all<br />

part of the rear services.<br />

a. Intendance. Intendance troops have functi<strong>on</strong>s comparable to<br />

the US Army Quartermaster Corps.<br />

b. <strong>Military</strong> C<strong>on</strong>structi<strong>on</strong> Troops. These troops include various<br />

specialized engineer units and do all major c<strong>on</strong>structi<strong>on</strong> in rear<br />

areas.<br />

c. Technical Troops of the Rear Services. These troops and<br />

specialists perform maintenance <strong>on</strong> general purpose vehicles and<br />

other comparable tasks. At divisi<strong>on</strong> level and lower, these troops<br />

also perform some of the repair and maintenance of combat ve-<br />
