In his empowering message on New Year’s
Eve, Pastor Pacer inspired faith in us to trust
God for a fresh journey with Him in 2012. The
essence of his sermon is encapsulated in the
following three precious lessons:
1 Let go of your past
(2 Corinthians 5:17);
2 Live anew in the present
(Ezekiel 11:19-20);
3 Long for your eternal future
(2 Peter 3:13).
Firstly, we must let go of our past and allow
the Holy Spirit to renew and reinvigorate us.
If we are still struggling with our past hurts,
bitterness and unforgiveness, we cannot
forge ahead with the plans and promises
that God has in store for us. If we hold fast to
our emotional baggage, we cannot live with
expectancy, delight and joy.
If we have come into a relationship with
Jesus Christ, we are a new creation in Him.
The old has passed away; behold, the new
has come. Indeed, there is freshness and
newness of life in us because the Holy Spirit
has transformed and reinvigorated us.
Secondly, we cannot receive the fullness and
abundance of God’s amazing grace if we are
still living in the Old Covenant. The problem
with the Pharisees is that they tried to fulfill
God’s will on their own terms. If we desire
a fresh start in 2012, we must not be like
them. Instead, we need to come to God on His
terms.
Our life in Jesus starts with the New
Covenant. He came to die for us and fulfill
the kind of life we should live. Ezekiel 11:19-
20 says that He has given us a new spirit,
replaced our stony hearts and given us a
brand-new heart. So we are now empowered
to walk in His laws, keep His commandments
and obey Him.
Thirdly, we must be prepared to plant the
flag of Jesus in our nation. Here is a great
challenge to you: This year, put your hand
to the plow and see what God can do in and
through you. Ask yourself this question,
“Who are the people God wants me to speak
to, pray for and love?”
We should yearn deeply for the Lord’s return.
There is going to be a ceremony in Heaven
where you and I (believers in Christ) will be
married to the Bridegroom (Jesus Christ)
forever. So our end purpose on earth is to
know Jesus, to be like Him and be with Him.
Therefore, be prepared to live with eternity
in mind.
After Pastor Pacer had preached his
message, Pastor Rony took to the pulpit to
inspire those who were sick to believe God
for their healing. In his usual deliberate,
systematic yet attention-capturing style,
Pastor narrated the story of a man in Bali
who attended our Miracle Service during
the Christmas season in 2010 and received
our booklet 5 Principles of Faith. He placed
the booklet on the shelf until a few weeks
ago when he suffered severe vertigo. Just
a little movement and his head would be
spinning. He also experienced nausea so
it was impossible for him to work. And the
medication he took did not help him at all.
One dark night, the man in Bali felt very
distressed and fearful. Suddenly, he
remembered the 5 Principles of Faith that he
received at Lighthouse Evangelism. He took it
off the shelf, read it repeatedly and followed
the steps stated in the booklet. The next
morning, he was healed at the break of dawn
and resumed work without any problem.
Pastor Rony challenged the people: “If
reading a booklet containing God’s Word
could heal a person in Bali, how about you
who are now sitting in the presence of God
and under the anointing of the Holy Spirit?”
The faith of an individual in God’s Word is the
greatest power in this entire world. If thou
canst believe, all things are possible to him
that believeth. If you find that connection
with the Lord Jesus through His Word,
there is no telling what can happen in
your life!
Tonight, the Holy Spirit was moving
mightily and many received a blessing
from the Lord and went home rejoicing
that God had answered their prayers.
Goh Seng Teck contracted H1N1 in April
2010. His lungs, kidneys and heart
were damaged. He was in a coma for
23 days. With his life hanging by a bare
thread, his wife came to the Miracle
Service and prayed in proxy for him.
Praise the Lord, God delivered him from
the jaws of death. He was completely
healed and is now well and alive.
Ngiam Lye Yoke, the wife of Seng Teck,
had a relapse of cancer in November
2011. She went for radiotherapy. One of
our pastors prayed for her. Two weeks
ago, she was declared to be free from
cancer and the doctor gave her a clean
bill of health.
In December 2011, Patricia Tay went
on a trip to Yunnan, China, with some of
her cell members. At one point of her
trip, due to the high altitude and thin
air, she fainted and collapsed. The cell
members in the group started praying
for her and sent an SMS to Singapore
to activate prayer support. Meanwhile,
she was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Within three hours, she regained
consciousness. Patricia gave God the
glory for saving her life!
Indeed, we worship and serve a
prayer-answering God. In Him, we
place our faith and trust.

Extending
TOUCH light
miniStRy
to LE Woodl ndS
TOUCHlight Ministry has successfully
ministered to numerous children
with differences since June 11 at our
weekly Miracle Service in LE Tampines.
Throughout these six months, the
Touchlighters have noticed improvement
in them. They are more compliant to
assigned tasks such as socializing in
the classroom, participating in class
activities as well as engaging in worship
and story-telling.
God has placed Touchlighters from
various professions in the ministry.
Without them, this ministry will not be
successful and many families with
special needs children will not be able
to attend church.
Recently, there were four salvation
cases – three parents and one youth
(special needs child) received Jesus
Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
Praise God!
We are extending the TOUCHlight
ministry to LE Woodlands on Saturday,

Setting YouR CouRSe

It’s not how you start this life’s journey
that really matters, but how you finish at
the end of it. Sadly, many finish poorly;
and tragically, others simply drop out of
the race.
There must be a way to set the course
of your life so that you are enabled to
live purposefully, meaningfully and
powerfully, having a sense of direction
all the time. Pastor Rony’s book, Setting
Your Course, outlines ten steps of
course-setting.
The following is an excerpt from his book.
Proverbs 4:23
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out
of it are the issues of life.
Springing forth from your heart are the
issues or forces or springs of life. Your
heart is the innermost core of your being.
It is your spirit.
How do you keep your heart with all
diligence? It is by letting Jesus Christ keep
and guard it.
And how do you allow Christ to keep it?
It is by yielding and surrendering your
whole self to the Lord day by day, hour by
hour, minute by minute, and moment by
moment.
How do you do that? It is by agreeing and
obeying God’s Word in our daily lives.
That’s the way to keep our precious
relationship with God. And it is also a sure
way to stay on course.
So far in the preceding four steps of
course-setting, we have dealt with the
internal part of man - his spirit, his
thoughts, his feelings and attitudes.
For the most part, this realm is both
unheard and unseen by others.
Now let’s deal with the more detectable
and visible facets of man, from his words
to his behaviour and conduct. Your daily
habits of each facet of daily living will
determine your destiny.
We influence others mainly by our words
and deeds. People respond or react to us
because of the things we say or do. Their
response or reaction to us in turn have the
power to affect us.
5th Step
Set a good speech pattern
The Bible says, “...for out of the abundance
of the heart the mouth speaketh.” (Matthew
12:34; cf. Luke 6:45; Proverbs 16:23a).
This means that what you think of most of
the time will eventually be spilt out one way
or another. It will come out. The pressure
of constant inputs will result in some
outputs.
When you know a person long enough and
he has the liberty to express himself freely
to you, his words will betray the secrets of
his heart. It’s a matter of time before you
know what’s inside.
It has been estimated that a man speaks
25,000 words per day, whereas a woman
speaks 30,000 words daily. The conflict
between a man and a woman begins in the
timing of word exchanges.
After a tired day’s work, the man comes
home with his stock of 25,000 words

almost depleted. Therefore, the last thing
he wants to do is talk. He looks forward to
a quiet and, if possible, silent evening.
However, he is cheerfully greeted by
his talkative wife who has been eagerly
waiting for him the whole day. While his
quota of words has already run out, she,
on the other hand, is ready to unload a full,
pent-up burst of 30,000 words.
Therefore, the evening conversation of
many couples goes like this:
Wife : Hi, honey, you are home.
Husband : Hi.
Wife : Did you have a good day?
Husband : Okay.
Wife : How was your lunch?
Husband : Okay.
Wife : How did that important meeting go?
Husband : Okay.
Wife : Do you want dinner now?
Husband : Okay.
Wife : How did you find this evening’s
dinner?
Setting Husband : Okay. youR
Wife : Are you okay?
Husband : Okay.

It seems like those monosyllables are
the very last few words that are left for
the day. As the very last word is being
squeezed out of him, he is only ready for
one thing - his bed.
