Sale, of items made by the
children, was also held with
proceeds going to the Red
Cross.

D. Mighton mail box to the
Moose Heights School, at Bartels
Road, has been getting
a 'rock foundation' the past
week. Certainly would be a
shock if it were to be paved
this year. * • •
Le Bourdais School area -
mothers and daughters of the
Quesnel Starlettes were busy
recently, assisting wjjh^a.
Smorgasbord evening including
entertainment. Proceeds
will benefit the 'Chalmers
Memorial Fund'and also
help purchase trophies for the
pending twirlett competition
on April 18 at Q.S.S., which
will include groups from the
Okanagan as well as the Central
Interior area.
Mrs. Crick and her brother,
both of the Terrace area,
were recent visitors with their
mother, Mrs. C. Brown, while
their father underwent surgery
at G. R. Baker Memorial
Hospital.
LeBourdais School 'Open
House' was, once again, well
attended by parents and friends
of the pupils.
The regular meeting of the
North Quesnel W.I. will beheld
one week early this month
because of the Rally at
Williams Lake, Wed. March
17. The meeting will be held
Sunday March 14 -• 1:30 P.M.,
at the home of Mrs. Henry
Moffat 644 McLean St. Quesnel.

Mr. Schroeder has been with the firm in
the Abbotsford area of the Lower Main­
land for 23 years. He and his wife and

newly purchased home on Norway Drive
by mid-April.

the Red Bluff School March 1.
Mrs. Kenoway of Richbar
has been spending some time
in the G. R. Baker Hospital.
The Parent Teacher's group
meeting held at the Red Bluff
School, March 3 was termed
fairly successful, with Mrs.
Steele, again winning the prize
as having the most mothers of
her students attending the
meeting. As Mrs. Steele had
won this Attendance Prize for
her class at the last meeting,
she felt that she would
like to donate the prize to
Mrs. York's Special Class,
as they are in need of articles
for their classroom. During
the meeting, the Fun Fair was
also discussed, as the date is
March 19th.

Dawson Creek has been
visiting with the Roy Perkull
family of Balsam in Red Bluff,
as she was on her way to visit
a daughter in Revelstoke.

The students of School District
28 all had a holiday on
Friday March 5, as the Teacher
Convention was in Williams
Lake. The children of
Red Bluf f and Richbar were
also included in this so I
hope they all enjoyed their day
off to the fullest.

The Red Bluff Rate-Payers
will be holding an Auction at a
later date, at the Red Bluff
Community Hall, the proceeds
of which will be going towards
work being done on the Hall,
as it is presently incomplete.

playthings, household
appliances or tools, or
even furniture please phone

Just a reminder of the Red
Bluff Fun Fair, which will be
held March 19. The tickets
for the hamper will only be
sold at the school, the night
of the fair.
Anything donated for this
hamper can be taken to the
Red Bluff school, with the children,
if unable to get it there
otherwise. Articles may consist
of canned food stuffs,
household items, or nonperishable
foods.

It's nice to see Judy Muir's
smiling face back at school
in Red Bluff, after a short
stay in the hospital.

A Farewell Party was held
for the Croy children on the
afternoon of March 4 in the
Red Bluff school gymnasium.
They celebrated with a sochop
and later served cookies
and chips. Mrs. Steele, principal
of the school, presented
the oldest sister, Rosie, with
a cake on behalf of the pupils
and staff of the school.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Stevens
and baby, of Revelstoke,
recently visited with Gordon's
family the Crockers.

recently returned from a
very enjoyable trip to California.
On reaching Oregon,
they were met with a violent
snow storm, and it seemed
to be all throughout the
country, right into Vancouver.

stories, and experiences to
recall for their family and
friends.
