unto his Lord (during his life) for some small acknowledgment: which writing<br />

<strong>the</strong> said Morris h<strong>at</strong>h still in his custody.<br />

The accus<strong>at</strong>ion of Walter Mc Tybbot of Killraghtis taken as aforesaid<br />

Who saith th<strong>at</strong> heard th<strong>at</strong> Danniell Annierrie did steal 2 horses <strong>from</strong><br />

Mahon Mc Inerhiny, and th<strong>at</strong> he was arraigned and condemned for it:<br />

and fur<strong>the</strong>r saith th<strong>at</strong> Captain Norton by <strong>the</strong> l<strong>at</strong>e Earl’s directions gave<br />

him, and Thomas Mc Redmund a warrant to take possession of <strong>the</strong> said<br />

Danniel’s land of Drumquin, and 2 half carrameers more, whereupon<br />

<strong>the</strong>y entered upon <strong>the</strong> land and took possession <strong>the</strong>reof for his lord’s use<br />

and kept it in <strong>the</strong>ir possession until <strong>the</strong>y gave it unto. And agrees with <strong>the</strong><br />

former deponent to th<strong>at</strong> end.<br />

The accus<strong>at</strong>ion of fflan O Neiland of Rossclenan taken as aforesaid<br />

He saith th<strong>at</strong> he heard for a general report th<strong>at</strong> <strong>the</strong> said Daniel Annierrie did<br />

steal 2 horses <strong>from</strong> <strong>the</strong> said McInerhiny, and was arraigned, and did know<br />

th<strong>at</strong> he was in goal, and th<strong>at</strong> his wife went up and down <strong>the</strong> town of Enish to<br />

beg relief for her husband: and did also know th<strong>at</strong> <strong>the</strong> l<strong>at</strong>e Earle of <strong>Thomond</strong>’s<br />

servants had possession of <strong>the</strong> said Daniell his lands.<br />

May it please your lord <strong>the</strong>refore <strong>the</strong> examin<strong>at</strong>ions l<strong>at</strong>ely took concerning<br />

Danniell Annierrie McNemarra’s lands of Drumquin.<br />

John McCloone his rel<strong>at</strong>ion touching Ballimccloone<br />

Imprimis his saith and so will confidently maintain and sufficiently prove<br />

th<strong>at</strong> Donogh McCloone being <strong>the</strong> possessor and true inheritor of <strong>the</strong> 3<br />

ploughlands of Ballimacloone descended to him <strong>from</strong> his ancestors (being<br />

<strong>the</strong>ir proper inheritance) conveyed <strong>the</strong> said land unto Donogh mcTurlogh<br />

O Bryen, fa<strong>the</strong>r unto Don<strong>at</strong> second Earl of <strong>Thomond</strong> and issued unto<br />

him his right title and interest of and in <strong>the</strong> above land <strong>from</strong> not long<br />

after <strong>the</strong> said Donogh mcCloone being destitute of a settled place made<br />

suite unto <strong>the</strong> said Donogh O Bryen to become tenant in <strong>the</strong> said land for<br />

yearly rent and reserv<strong>at</strong>ions which was acquitted of him who during <strong>the</strong><br />

remainder of his time continued tenant in <strong>the</strong> premise paying and duties<br />
