General Info<br />
<strong>Auckland</strong> <strong>Museum</strong> is open daily from 10AM – 5PM. Children under 15<br />
are free. A $10 donation is appreciated from adults. With proof of address<br />
or My<strong>Museum</strong> card no donation is asked of <strong>Auckland</strong>ers. Charges may<br />
apply for special exhibitions<br />
GETTING HERE<br />
Located on Domain Drive in the<br />
<strong>Auckland</strong> Domain, the <strong>Museum</strong><br />
is a 30-minute walk from town<br />
and a 10-minute drive. The LINK<br />
Bus stops on nearby Parnell Road<br />
every 10 minutes on weekdays and<br />
every 15 minutes on weekends.<br />
The Explorer Bus stops outside<br />
the <strong>Museum</strong> every hour. For<br />
train passengers, the <strong>Museum</strong> is<br />
a 10-minute walk from Grafton<br />
Station (western line) and 15<br />
minutes from Newmarket Station<br />
(western/southern lines).<br />
PARKING<br />
Free parking is available in the<br />
Domain. Secure paid undercover<br />
parking is also available, first<br />
hour free.<br />
COLUMBUS CAFÉ<br />
Columbus Café offers fresh fare,<br />
coffee, tea and has a licence to<br />
serve wine & beer.<br />
LIBRARY<br />
The <strong>Museum</strong> Library is open 10AM<br />
– 5PM Monday – Saturday. Home to<br />
rare and valuable reference material<br />
which is available for the public to<br />
view, the Library was formed in<br />
1867 and has some outstanding<br />
collections relating in particular to<br />
<strong>Auckland</strong>, New Zealand and the<br />
South Pacific.<br />
