Meeting Notes<br />

Dr. Richard Temsch Opened the meeting and introduced the Project and Consortium, explained<br />

the project goals and expected outcomes; highlighted the importance of local<br />

stakeholders and public participation in the Project; emphasized the<br />

importance of existing baseline data and the significance of local population<br />

cooperation and assistance in obtaining information based on their local<br />

experience and traditional knowledge<br />

Prof. Gia Sopadze Explained ECOVISION’s role in the project as a main acting member in<br />

Georgia, expressed his hope for successful cooperation with local<br />

stakeholders, clarified that the opinion of the local population of the valley<br />

was extremely important for the Project; promised to inform local<br />

stakeholders on project details, and that in order to take into account their<br />

opinions and suggestions, public disclosure activities will also be carried out<br />

for local stakeholders in Administrative District centers according to the<br />

Terms of Reference of the Project
