In the current Project this important function has been addressed and initiated by the stakeholder
meetings in March 2009 and will be facilitated by future meetings and other means of
communication.
Means to inform and educate the public
The overall objective is to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of available information. The
methods should include, but are not limited to:
• Oral project information (town hall meetings)
• Project exhibition on regional and/or local level (posters)
• Print media (local newspapers, leaflets)
• Internet based systems (project information website, email distribution)
A stakeholder network and a project information website will be created for the following
purposes:
• Publishing draft and final reports
• Listing contact details and functions of the members of the
o Consortium team
o Project Supervision Group
o Key stakeholders
o Local government
• Serving as discussion platform (for questions, comments, suggestions, etc.)
• Announcing meetings
• Posting the project schedule
According to the Terms of Reference, continuous support and assistance will be provided to and
cooperation will be carried out with all the relevant authorities as they are mentioned above in the
group of key stakeholders. After submission of the draft SEA report a public information meeting
will be held in September 2009.
