In the current Project this important function has been addressed and initiated by the stakeholder<br />

meetings in March 2009 and will be facilitated by future meetings and other means of<br />

communication.<br />

Means to inform and educate the public<br />

The overall objective is to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of available information. The<br />

methods should include, but are not limited to:<br />

• Oral project information (town hall meetings)<br />

• Project exhibition on regional and/or local level (posters)<br />

• Print media (local newspapers, leaflets)<br />

• Internet based systems (project information website, email distribution)<br />

A stakeholder network and a project information website will be created for the following<br />

purposes:<br />

• Publishing draft and final reports<br />

• Listing contact details and functions of the members of the<br />

o Consortium team<br />

o Project Supervision Group<br />

o Key stakeholders<br />

o Local government<br />

• Serving as discussion platform (for questions, comments, suggestions, etc.)<br />

• Announcing meetings<br />

• Posting the project schedule<br />

According to the Terms of Reference, continuous support and assistance will be provided to and<br />

cooperation will be carried out with all the relevant authorities as they are mentioned above in the<br />

group of key stakeholders. After submission of the draft SEA report a public information meeting<br />

will be held in September 2009.
